Monologue is a sound installation about the story of a wood stick from birth to its burning in a fireplace. The audience walks in an empty dark room with a wood piece on a plinth in the middle of the room. The sound creates a narrative in audience's mind which makes it seem like they are the wood and can imagine everything that the wood has gone through. The theatrical lighting makes it more clear that this is the wood talking and saying its monologue to us.

Monologue is looking at aspects of phenomenology*, and how we experience the world based on our own perceptions even when we try to empathize we still are the other.

*Phenomenology is the philosophical study of the structures of experience and consciousness, or simply; first person lived experience.
